Chapter 198
"Sure," reciprocated Isaac.
Tonight, he had something urgent to attend to as well seeing that his family already knew about the
engagement. Considering how often he had not been home lately, Hendrick should be happy to hear
the news when he returned home tonight. Yet, Isaac was still upset and annoyed for some reason.
He thought that a sham marriage was what he could initially compromise, but at this point, an
engagement was the biggest concession he could possibly make right now.
"Thank you, President Arnold! You're the best!" exclaimed Patricia as she jumped up and down joyfully
before offering him a lollipop. "President Arnold, this is for you."
After taking her coat that was hung on the coat hanger and wrapping a scarf around her neck, she
carried her bag and waved him goodbye. "Bye, President Arnold. Don't stay up too late!"
Now that he was alone in the office, Isaac checked on the time through his wrist watch. It's only
6.00PM. Seems like she doesn't want to spend a minute longer here, huh?

meaning to it. His gaze smitten with warmth as he sniffed the smell. I bet it's as sweet as she is.
On the other hand, Patricia had not found the guts to drive to work with a car she got for free from
Isaac all this while. Besides, a man as petty as him might confiscate it if he saw it by chance. With
hindsight, she commuted by taking the subway every single day.
It was relatively convenient though; she did not need to worry about the traffic and could reach home
faster. Twenty minutes later, she was already exiting the entrance of the subway that was near her
place.

Even so, the weather was rather cold today, so she primped her scarf to keep herself warm from the
cold breeze. It was this moment that a car halted in front of her out of the blue and the window was
unwound.
Patricia was astonished to see the person in the car, but she hopped onto the car nonetheless. As they
were heading toward Snowflake Lane, she let out a smile. "Zachary, you definitely know the right day to
show up."
He looked at her affectionately. "What do you mean?"
She covered her smile with her hands. "Scott and Stellan are in charge of making dinner tonight. Isn't it
meant to be?"
He nodded approvingly. "Luck's on my side today."
The driver parked the car in front of Patricia's house before opening the car door for them.
The both of them ambled to the door when Gus called her abruptly, "Patricia, come here."
Patricia turned to Zachary. "Head in first. I'll talk to him for a moment."
She was aware that Gus was here to ask for the money. However, she did not contact Darcie lately due
to her tight schedule. She wondered if her friend had sold her house.
"Patricia, when is your friend going to return the money? You can't delay the payment any longer."
She forced a smile. "It won't take too long, Gus. Her house is in a good spot, so it'll sell out in no time.

Even so, Gus frowned in distress. "Patricia, please inform her that she must give us the money in three
days. If she can't keep her promise, they'll be at your doorstep by then."
"Okay. We'll return the money before that." She nodded. Seeing her confidence, he went back home
with a peace of mind in the end.
Patricia raised her brow while entering the house. We must return the money in three days or my kids
will be frightened to see the debtors.
The fragrance wafted her nose as soon as she stepped into the house. Entering the kitchen, she saw
two petite figures in an apron who were busy preparing the dishes. Their movements were rather
smooth and skillful.
She grabbed a piece of the barbequed steak before giving them a thumbs up, only to receive
disapproval from the two little chefs. "You should wash your hands first."
Like a little girl, Patricia stuck out her tongue at them.
Scott smiled in reply. "Mommy, even if you don't have a boyfriend or husband, you have us! We'll love
you and take care of you forever."
