Chapter 458 Don't Be So Magnanimous "Why didn't you contact her assistant?"
"I wanted to, but she was bad-tempered and didn't let anyone get close to her."
Thalia and Sasha didn't know each other well, so Thalia had to call Alexa.
Hearing this, Alexa looked at Terrence in embarrassment.
"Address," Terrence said calmly.
Alexa told Terrence the address of Thalia's bar.
Thalia heard Terrence's voice on the phone and joked happily.
"Is Terrence with you?"
It was quiet in the car. Terrence heard what Thalia said clearly.
Alexa glanced at Terrence carefully and saw that he was giggling.
"Yes." Alexa nodded. "He's right next to me. We planned to go on a date."
Terrence's smile deepened.
"A date?" Thalia teased. "You can date in my bar. I learned a new cocktail some time ago. I'm sure that
Terrence will get drunk with a glass of it."
Thalia went too far. Alexa turned down the volume, but it was useless.
"Does Dr. McMillan know that?" Alexa asked with a fake smile.
"Yes." Thalia's tone became normal. "He was the first one to taste the cocktail. He didn't wake up until
this morning after drinking only one glass of it."
Alexa was speechless.
Alexa did not know what to say. Thalia continued.
"You need passion to keep your love fresh. Let me help you. You don't have to thank me."
"No need."
"Don't feel embarrassed."
"I am not."
Silence filled the space between Alexa and Terrence strangely.
"No." Alexa glanced at Terrence and explained, "I didn't mean that."
"I know."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAfter that, Thalia hung up.
Alexa couldn't explain it. She subconsciously glanced at Terrence.
Terrence said very seriously.
"I didn't know that you wanted to get me drunk with a glass of wine."
"I don't," Alexa smiled awkwardly. "What's more, you can hold your liquor. You won't get drunk with only
one glass of wine."
"That depends," Terrence said seriously. "I can be drunk if this is what you want."
Alexa knew what Terrence meant. He looked serious, and she did not want to fall into his trap.
When they arrived at the bar, Thalia had asked someone to take Sasha to the break room.
Generally, Sasha could hold her liquor. This was the first time Alexa had seen her so drunk.
Terrence wanted to go with Alexa, but they met Reid.
"You can talk to Mr. Peters," Alexa said. "I will go upstairs to see Sasha."
"Okay."
After Alexa disappeared from the door, Reid began to talk to Terrence.
"After working with Ms. Duran recently, I began to know something about you."
Terrence turned his gaze and said, "Nice to meet you."
"Recently, Ms. Molina and my brother have caused trouble for the two of you. I'm sorry."
Terrence knew that Reid came with a purpose.
"If Ms. Duran has a chance, can she ask Ms. Molina to meet Damian?"
Reid was very polite.
"It is my brother's fault. He indeed caused trouble for Ms. Molina."
"My wife and I don't care much about other people's things."
"Oh, sorry."
But Reid admired Terrence very much.
"Shall we have a drink when you have time?"
Reid was not as rich as Terrence.
But in this situation, Reid could still resist the pressure and cooperate with the Duran Group, which
meant he was a man with plenty of guts.
Terrence would not reject such a man.
"It's my honor."
Terrence and Reid chatted for a while before Alexa went downstairs with Sasha.
When Sasha saw Reid, her expression did not change. She only greeted Reid in a flat tone.
"Should I get someone to send you back?" Alexa asked.
"No need."
Sasha waved her hand. She had sobered up after taking the anti-alcoholic drug.
Sasha was a proud person and would never allow herself to show weakness in public.
"My assistant is on the way here. Sorry to trouble you. You and your husband can go."
"Okay."
Alexa nodded and asked Thalia to appoint a waiter to take care of Sasha.
After that, Alexa held Terrence's hand and left.
After getting in the car, Terrence asked.
"What happened between her and Damian?"
Terrence felt that Damian loved Sasha dearly when they met at the auction house that day.
"They quarreled, but they’ll make it up soon," Alexa said. She knew them very well.
As Alexa said, Damian came.
Sasha was still waiting for her assistant and was unwilling to go with Damian.
Damian did not urge Sasha. He sat down in front of Sasha and stayed with her.
Thalia saw that there was something going on between them and asked the waiter to serve two drinks.
"Can you go back with me?"
Damian waited for a long time before he spoke humbly.
"No."
Sasha refused coldly, not even looking at Damian.
"I heard that you just drank a lot. I brought you some anti-alcoholic drugs and hot cocoa you like."
"Did your brother ask you to come here?"
"No. I wanted to see you, so I came."
Damian's ribs were not healed yet, so he did not dare to speak loudly now.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Didn't you sing at the bar? Have you recovered?" Sasha still cared about this.
"Not yet."
Damian smiled apologetically, not daring to talk back.
Damian was still wearing a formal suit. Sasha guessed that he came after meeting his client.
"I thought you ran away with someone else."
"How would I dare?"
"Why not? I didn't force you to stay by my side," Sasha said flatly.
"Zeke's things involve a lot of companies, so I helped my brother in the company these days."
"What about you?"
"Me?"
"Your injury." Sasha frowned.
Sasha reached out and pressed Damian's chest. Damian lowered his head.
"It hurts!" Damian cried out in pain and gasped. "It hurts. You don't care about me these days, so it
hurts even more."
"You ask for it."
Sasha moved her hand away and hit Damian on the shoulder.
"I don't."
"You're smiling." Damian moved closer to Sasha. "You won't be angry if you smile. I know it."
"Don't overestimate yourself."
Sasha proudly got up and walked out. Damian hurriedly followed her.
Both of them were quite good-looking. Sasha was elegant, while Damian was handsome.
When the two of them walked together, they attracted envious looks.
Damian suddenly became unhappy and pulled Sasha over without saying anything.
"What are you doing?"
"Those men are looking at you. I'm jealous."
"Many girls are also looking at you, but I don't mind. I'm quite magnanimous," Sasha teased calmly.
"Leave them alone. I don't want you to be so magnanimous." Damian held Sasha even tighter.
