"Hadley!" Before she could mull it over, Elvin barreled on. "Con, bailout! If it's you, Adonis won't have a single complaint!" Hadley's hunch was spot-on.

"Thank you, Hadley! You're a lifesaver!" As dusk settled in, Hadley bathed Joy and then settled her onto the bed, gently rubbing her hair dry with a towel.
Just as she neared the end, Melba entered, holding a small cup of medicine. "Joy, tfor your dose," she announced.

Joy's face scrunched into a pout as she burrowed into Hadley's embrace. "Mommy tastes awful." No one relished medicine, least of all a child like Joy.
