He hesitated for a moment, but then approached slowly. "What's going on?" He sat down opposite her. “Bad day? You seem upset." Narrowing her eyes, Hadley had had enough of his act. Her anger was mounting, and she struggled to keep it under control. She inhaled deeply, striving to keep her tone steady.
