REAGAN'S POV.
I blink my eyes open and thick, searing pain courses through the back of my neck, causingto wince as I struggle to keep my heavy, sleepy eyes open. Slowly, I lift my head and I hear my neck bones snap and the pain grows worse. When I look at the place where I'm seated, I immediately understand the reason why I'm in so much pain. I'm sitting on a bar stool at the wine bar in my office. I drank myself to stupor last night and ended up sleeping at this bar counter. That's why every part of my body hurts, especially my back and neck.
Groaning, I turn my head from side to side with my arms spread out in the air, doing the smotion so as to relax my muscles and curb the aches I feel at my joints.
In complete silence, I look around my office, before turning back to the bar counter where I spot an empty glass sitting beside me. I don't really know exactly how much I drank last night, but it was a lot. The argument I had with Ashanti drainedcompletely.
I lied to her. I kept a life-changing secret from her. I hurt her deeply and now she doesn't want to be withanymore. She wants to leave.

My thoughts are interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing. I check the caller Id and when I see that it's a strange number calling, I sigh and look away from it, intending to ignore it, but a thought strikes me. It could be important. With all the chaos going on right now, anything could happen to anyone.
Sighing lightly, I reach for the phone, pick it up and answer the call.
"Alpha Reagan speaking." I say in a bored tune as I press the phone against my ear.
"Alpha Reagan. This is Mr. Elijah Williams speaking. Former Delta of this pack. I am calling with respect to the shocking revelation my daughter just made toright now. She's pregnant and she says you're the father of the child she's carrying. We need to talk." The Man ends his sentence with a dangerous tone and the phone nearly falls from my hand, not out of fear, but shock and disbelief.
Alina.
Alina. Alina. Alina! I begged her. I warned not to tell another soul about her pregnancy but she didn't listen. She went right ahead to flap her mouth to her father about the issue and now he knows. It's a just a matter of tbefore the news explodes like a dynamite throughout the pack and everyone will be talking about it.
"Alpha Reagan. Are you there?" I look at the talking phone in my hand. "Can you hear me?" I hang up.
I will deal with Alina and her father later. For now, I have a more pressing issue to handle.
I stretch my arms and entire body one last tbefore stepping down from the bar stool. I probably reek of alcohol and everything bad right now but I really don't care. I need to see Ashanti. Talk to her. I'm sure she must have calmed down. Last night she only said she wanted to leave because she was too angry. By now she must have cback to her senses.
I exit my office and head to my bedroom at the speed of light. I pass a few servants on my way who stop walking and bow down to me, but I don't even acknowledge them.
When I get into the bed, my heart sinks at the sight of Ashanti. Her petite fris sitting at the edge of the bed. Her face looks pale. Her eyes are red and bulging like she has been crying all night. She looks nothing like herself.

"Baby." I call with a small voice as I take calculated steps towards her.
e She's very volatile right now sa have to approach her with caution lest lashes atlike the angry wolf she is or worse, sprints out of that door and goes to God knows where. "I want to leave."
Those words catlike daggers, aiming for my heart. When they finally land, a sharp pain sear's through myckest, shattering my heart into a thousand miserable pieces that scatter all over the floor. I pause in my tracks, nearly hyperventilating. "You won't." I reply with a croaky voice. She rises from the bed and marches over to me, anger blazing in her eyes.
"I can, I will!" She tries to walk past me, but I hold her arm and easily pull her back to stand in front of me. There's a soft look in my eyes as I N stare deep into hers, but all I see in hers is anger and a little bit of hatred.
