Chapter 163
“Miss Dalton, Mattie said with a cold, detached voice, “I have an irreconcilable grudge with Aiden
Hailey took a sip of her coffee, set down the spoon, wiped her lips, and remained expressionless, indifferent to
other people’s histories.

Had she not cback from another time, perhaps she would have felt sympathy. But now, after everything,
she had grown cold and unfeeling.
“So, what exactly do you want from me?” Hailey asked.
Mattie smiled faintly. “Miss Dalton, I'm willing to give you my five percent stake in the company, but only if you
force Aiden out of the Dalton family.”
Hailey replied without hesitation, “Okay.”
Her response was quick, likely because she already had this plan in mind, and with Mattie’s help, everything
would go more smoothly.
Mattie was taken aback by Hailey’s swift agreement. She paused, then, seeing Hailey was serious, pulled out the
prepared equity transfer agreement.
At first, Mattie hadn't fully trusted Hailey, but after testing her the previous day, she realized Hailey had no
emotional attachment to the Dalton family. That was when Mattie felt comfortable going through with the deal,
knowing they both had the sgoal.
The conversation went smoothly, and once the contract was signed, Mattie left early.
Hailey finished her coffee and left the private room.
As she stepped out, she collided with Owen, who was coming up the stairs.
It had been a few days since they last saw each other, and Owen seemed thinner.
He was accompanied by his assistant and two middle-aged men, likely here for business.
He wore a black suit, and his appearance was lean and tall, his features more chiseled than before, giving him a

Hailey found this reassuring, reminding herself it was for the best.
She lowered her head and walked past him, looking like two strangers who didn’t know each other,
That is, until Owen grabbed her wrist.
“Owen!” she whispered.
Owen looked up, addressing the two men, “Sorry, | need to take care of something personal.” Richard stepped
forward and led the men into the private room.
Ignoring Hailey’s call, Owen grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the adjacent room.
The curtains in the room were drawn, and the atmosphere was dim.
Before Hailey could react, Owen had pinned her against the door.
Though Hailey wasn't helpless, the difference in strength between a man and a woman was clear. Owen wasn’t

strong, skilled, and completely overpowered her.
In the darkness, Owen kissed her violently, biting her lip.
Hailey winced in pain, unable to stop herself from letting out a soft groan. She tried to push against his shoulder,
but Owen easily trapped both of her hands above her head and kissed her again, even more forcefully.
Furious, Hailey kicked at him, but Owen quickly grabbed her waist and, with a swift tug-
The sound of fabric tearing echoed through the room, exposing her bare shoulder. Owen released her hands and
sank his teeth into her exposed skin.
Hailey, furious, shouted, “Owen, are you a dog?!”
Owen chuckled softly, then reached over and turned on the light, filling the room with a tense atmosphere.
Hailey was half-dressed, her face flushed, her eyes glistening with tears, lips swollen from his kiss. She looked
utterly ravished.
Owen's suit was slightly disheveled, his Adam’s apple moving as he swallowed. His lips, smeared with her
lipstick, had an oddly seductive allure.
“What do you want, Owen? We've already broken up,” Hailey growled, her voice tinged with anger as she tried to
straighten her clothes and move towards the door.
Owen slammed his hand against the door and pulled her back into his arms, his grip rough.
His long, pale fingers gripped her chin, his dark, intense eyes staring into hers, making her heart race.
He smirked. “This relationship isn’t something you can just end whenever you want.”
Owen had considered letting her go. When she regained her memory and immediately broke up with him at the
hospital, he had been furious. How could someone be so cold, so heartless?
He had searched for her for two years, finally found her, and now she wanted to end things just like that?
Impossible.
Once the anger faded, Owen regained his composure. He wasn’t going to let her end things so easily.
“I've already found someone else | like,” Hailey said, her voice cold, her eyes giving him nothing but ice.
Owen said nothing, his gaze unrelenting.
Hailey leaned against the door, her expression one of sarcasm and amusement. “Do you really likethat
much, Owen? With your status, you could have any woman you want. Why waste your ton me? I'm just an
ordinary woman. Two years is enough to move on.”
Owen remained silent, as if her words meant nothing to him.
Hailey felt her frustration grow. “Can’t we just part ways peacefully?”
“I told you,” Owen said calmly, “this relationship isn’t yours to end.”
Before Hailey could say another word, Owen opened the door and walked out, leaving her standing there alone.
Hailey cursed under her breath, quickly adjusted her clothes, and stormed out of the café in anger.

With ten percent of the shares, she was now a larger shareholder than Aiden.
The seating arrangements placed her ahead of him.
When Aiden entered, he froze.
Isaac, who was hosting the meeting, gave a brief opening speech and introduced Hailey to the room.

Since Hailey was still a student, the company had only given her a ceremonial title of Vice President and hadn't
assigned her any significant duties yet.
Aiden, upon hearing this, immediately turned pale with jealousy. When he had twenty percent of the shares, he
had been merely the Finance Manager. Now Hailey, with only ten percent, had the title of Vice President?
He immediately protested.
But no one supported him.
Even though Aiden was technically a member of the Dalton family, the shareholders could see that he no longer
had any real power. He was now just a minor shareholder, and no one cared what he had to say.
In a fit of rage, Aiden stormed out, slamming the door behind him.
