"Help! Somebody help!" Panic spread like wildfire as some people bolted for the exits.

The werewolf released the man it had been mauling and lunged for another victim, its teeth sinking into the fresh prey's neck. "Ah! Help! Somebody help!" Screams echoed through the chaos.

"William!" Arnold dashed to his son's side and scooped him in his arms while Yuna shielded Aurelia with her body.

Seeing Aurelia unharmed, Leopold, flanked by his bodyguards, charged the werewolf from behind. The beast sensed their approach, let go of its victim, and turned to face them, snarling with blood-stained fangs.

Its eyes were blood red, and foam mixed with blood dripped from its jaws, which was a visage straight out of a horror story.

Aurelia's mind raced to one thought. It was the zombie! It was just like in the TV shows she'd seen.

"Leopold, could it be the zombie virus? Be careful, and don't let it bite you!" The last thing she wanted was for Leopold to turn into a zombie.

A sense of wordlessness washed over Leopold, as he thought to himself that humanity was surely doomed if the zombie virus were to become a reality.

The bodyguards swarmed the werewolf, pinning it to the ground amid its ferocious howls.

Some bold tourists hid at a distance, capturing the mayhem on their phones instead of fleeing.

The cruise ship's security officers cuffed the creature and tied it up thoroughly.

The bitten man clutched his neck in horror, his soul nearly leaving his body at Aurelia's words. "He... He's not infected with the zombie virus, is he?" He didn't want to die, let alone turn into a zombie.

"He's got a pulse. He's breathing. How could he be a zombie?" one of the bodyguards retorted. "Instead of worrying about the zombie virus, you should be more concerned about rabies. Get vaccinated ASAP." The man breathed a sigh of relief.

Medical staff from the cruise ship rushed over to treat the wounded.

Skyler stroked his chin, pacing before the man, scrutinizing him closely.

Could this be the "gift" Geoffrey had sent? "| think he might have been hypnotized." He pressed his hand on the man’s head and murmured, "On the count of three, you'll wake up. One, two, three!" With a snap of his fingers, the man convulsed sharply, his eyes rolling back as he passed out.

Security escorted him away.

The captain called the Coast Guard, who would arrange for a vessel to transport the victims to the hospital.

As the guards took the "werewolf" to the brig, they realized Thomas had vanished.

Skyler and William were furious. They had planned to hand Thomas over to the police.

"It must have been Thomas' revenge, putting that man under hypnosis to ruin the masquerade ball," William fumed.

Leopold, with a hand on his forehead, pondered. "Thomas had already escaped from the brig when that man showed up at the party. Thomas went straight to the deck and jumped overboard without delay. He didn't have time to commit the act. There must be another hypnotist on board." Leopold had expected Thomas' escape. He had intentionally let the tiger back to the mountain.

Skyler and William exchanged glances, almost speaking in unison, "Could it be Geoffrey? Is he on this ship, too?" Leopold immediately ordered his bodyguards and the ship's security team to start a thorough search, armed with silverware, checking everyone on board.

Meanwhile, the guards kept a vigilant watch on the deck to prevent anyone from escaping by sea.

Tanya arrived, having skipped the masquerade ball. She came after hearing of Thomas' escape.

Leopold spoke gravely, "Aunt Tanya, my suspicions were correct. Thomas is a spy planted by the dark organization, and I'm guessing he's not the only one. You should vet the people around you." Tanya seethed inwardly, realizing some of her people had grown increasingly insubordinate. Were they planning a coup? "That Thomas," she lamented, "after all the trust | had placed in him."
