At the time, countless heavily armed soldiers had surrounded the body in a battle-ready
formation. Most of them could see multiple scars and open wounds scattered all over the
body of this unknown man. It was quite a horrific sight as some of those wounds were
huge and deep.
Just then, their saintess materialized before them.
"Greetings to the Saintess!" All the men called out in unison.
The saintess gave a slight nod and made her way toward the seemingly dead man. As she
stopped before the body, one of the generals came up to her and got down on one knee.
He reported, "Your Holiness, this body had somehow drifted toward our universe just a
while ago. We examined the corpse, but we couldn’t detect any signs of life from it. We
think that this man had probably died a long time ago and his body had drifted across the
Endlos Void for quite some time."
The lady's gaze fell on the body. A dark, mysterious light shone in her eyes the next

In several seconds, the saintess managed to assess the condition of James' body.
At first glance, there were no signs of life or a soul in James' body. In fact, the average

Another general asked.

The men around her were shocked to hear her theory.
"We don't know who he is or where this man is from. Just to be safe, we should eliminate
him on the spot."
One of the generals stepped out of the crowd and brought out a knife. Then, he swiftly
lifted his arm and took a swing at the body.
The saintess merely looked on wordlessly.
With a loud clang, the man managed to make a cut on James' body. However, the general
fell backward and stumbled a little the very next moment.
"His body is so tough! He must be quite a skilled cultivator ...” The general gazed at James
in awe.
"That's enough." The saintess began, "His time is probably not up yet. We'll bring him
back with us.”
"Your Holiness, we can't! If this man is from the enemy's side, he may share and expose
our whereabouts once he regains consciousness." The man in the white robe voiced his
suspicion. He followed the saintess for her protection.
The saintess replied, "Still, there's no proof to suggest that this man is affiliated with the

Upon hearing her words, the men complied and carried out her instructions. James was
brought back to their universe shortly afterward.
Meanwhile, they had decided to remain in their current position within the Endlos Void.
Although Paths did not exist in the Endlos Void, the universe could still replenish its
depleted force by absorbing the abundant Endlos Power around it. They estimated that it
would take around three to five epochs for the universe to harness enough power again.
Soon, James was transferred to the spiritual mountain where the saintess resided. After
her condition had stabilized, the saintess headed to a guest room.
"Greetings, Your Holiness." The guards greeted her respectfully.
"How is he?" The saintess asked.
"The man hasn't regained consciousness. However, we observed signs of regeneration in
his body. The wounds and injuries in his body have mostly healed by now. He should be
waking up soon," One of the guards explained.
