| adjust my tie and make sure that | look extra good for the night. The truth is, | don't really care about this
event. | have been to numerous ones like it before, but this one is different. | have Rosie Kensington as my date.

"And no pranks for tonight," he warns me.
"No pranks. | promise," | say. This is my first tto be nervous around Julian, but today is different. His daughter
is my date, and this is a first.
| hear the clinks of heels against the floor and when I look at the direction of the sound, | find Rosie in front of
me, looking as gorgeous as ever. Her royal blue dress looks like it is made for her. | bet her mum made it for her.

me. But | don't plan on making this a one-tthing at all,
| want to take her on numerous dates and show her how | can treat her right. 1 want her to taketo her
favorite places and introduceto her world. I'm done being the jerk in her eyes. | don't want that anymore.

Soon, we arrive at the venue where the event is held. The valet opens the door for Rosie, and | walk towards her.
There are so many photographers, but we have both grown up in the spotlight, so they don't bother us anymore.
She links her arm with me, and we both walk inside. It is the annual event to celebrate the successes that the
company has achieved throughout the year. This year, we have added a new streaming website andto our

knowing her favorite drink, her favorite actor, and her favorite color. | want to learn everything about Rosie
Kensington. | thank the bartender when he handsthe drinks and head back to my date.
When I spot her, | frown because she isn't alone. A guy is talking to her. | know him. Ezra Maine. A wannabe
