Chapter 49 Chapter 49: Eileen suddenly turned to face Kian, whose expression was deceptively calm as if he were making a casual remark. But that was a clear threat.

Kian's smile was bright as he spoke. "From now on, Vivian will assist you with your tasks. Whenever you find sspare time, I'd like you to focus on training Bailee more. The fewer mistakes she makes, the fewer penalties she'll face." After making his point, Kian glanced at his watch and arched an eyebrow. "You finished your tasks early today, but unfortunately, Bailee won't be available for any lessons now. She's gone to the bar with Benjamin to discuss a partnership. She'll likely go hlate." Eileen's voice was strained as she said, “Mr. Warren, you can ctoif you have any dissatisfactions. Bailee is still young." The elevator dinged to signal their floor, but neither of them made a move to exit. Kian adjusted his tie and flashed another smile. "What are you worried about? I'll ensure Bailee is well looked after for your sake. However, bear in mind that Benjamin is known for his-" How utterly ridiculous! There was no way that Kian wouldn't be able to control Benjamin Nash, considering that he was Kian's assistant.

Eileen couldn't help but respond with a hint of sarcasm, "Well, thank you, Mr. Warren." She and Benjamin had been classmates in college, constantly competing and achieving similar grades, earning them the reputation of arch-rivals throughout their college days. After graduation, they lost touch. They both made a nfor themselves and becnotable figures in the industry.

Eileen turned to leave. She entered her car and immediately dialed Bailee. After a few rings, Bailee answered the call.

"Eileen," Bailee's speech was slightly slurred, "Have you eaten yet? It's so late." Eileen furrowed her brows. It was just a little past five. It was not typically dinner tyet, and Bailee already sounded drunk.

A hiccup interrupted the conversation, and she could hear the loud background noise on the other end of the line before the call abruptly ended.

Looking at her phone, Eileen took a deep breath. She was about to redial when Bailee sent her the location. She quickly started the car's engine and drove towards the south of the city. An hour later, as darkness enveloped the area, she parked at the entrance of the bar.

The colorful lights of the bar illuminated her bare face, making her appear somewhat out of place. She had visited this bar twice before with Bryan, choosing the location based on the preferences of the business partners. She knew from experience that those who preferred this venue were typically troublesome.

Upon entering, Eileen found herself in a loud lobby. The ground floor was alive with deafening music and flickering lights. Women in revealing outfits danced on the dance floor.

Eileen scanned the crowd and then approached the front desk to ask about Benjamin.

"I'm sorry, we couldn't find a reservation under Mr. Nash's nhere," the receptionist said apologetically. "You might want to try calling him directly." Eileen reached the vicinity of the bar and attempted to call Bailee again. She received no answer.

She walked further inside, continuing her search. She made phone calls as she ascended the stairs, peering through the small windows on the doors of each private room.

Upon reaching the third floor, she spotted Benjamin at the end of the hallway. He was engrossed in his phone. The sound of the elevator doors opening caught Benjamin's attention. He glanced up, saw Eileen, and swiftly pocketed his phone.

Eileen stepped out of the elevator and approached him. "Which room is Bailee in?" As she got closer, she noticed that Benjamin didn't smell of alcohol or smoke, suggesting he had not been in the private area where Bailee was. Bailee was probably mingling on her own.

Ignoring Eileen's question, Benjamin said, "Bailee's negotiating a contract that could determine her future at the Warren Group." "I asked you a question. Which room is she in?" Eileen repeated her question, her tone growing firmer. "You're still as stubborn as ever," Benjamin said, trying to divert the conversation. "Letgive you sadvice. It's not wise to go against the Warren family." "I don't need your advice. I'll ask this one more time: where the hell is Bailee?" Eileen said, her patience waning. After a brief pause, Benjamin finally gave in. "Room 308," he said.

Eileen quickly glanced at the nearby room numbers and walked to Room 308. She pushed the door open and was immediately hit by a strong smell of alcohol and smoke. Bailee was sitting on the sofa, her cheeks noticeably flushed.

Bailee looked up as the door opened, but her gaze was unfocused, and she did not seem to recognize Eileen.

"Miss Curtis?" The person negotiating with Bailee was a well-known figure in the business world named Ellis Morales, who had met Eileen a few times and recognized her instantly. Eileen had no recollection of him, but his recognition of her made things easier for her.

"Hello. It seems you've all had enough to drink. Have you signed the contract yet?" she asked.

Ellis hesitated for a moment before replying. "This collaboration is betweenand the Warren Group."

"I'm aware of that," Eileen said, pointing at Bailee. "She's my sister. Looking at her current state, it's clear spre can't continue drinking. She has shown her sincerity. If you think this is enough, please sign the contract now. I need to take her home." Ellis looked at Bailee, then back at Eileen, his mouth slightly agape. Any mischievous plans he had entertained for the evening vanished at that moment.

"Of course, the sincerity is more than evident. Actually, she hasn't drunk much; it's just that her tolerance is quite low." Ellis said. He reached over, retrieved the contract from the sofa, and signed it right in front of Eileen. With the contract in hand, Eileen helped Bailee to her feet, and they left the bar.
