Chapter 628 Dissatisfaction
Since the dress had already been sent over, also, the Star Ceremony was right around the corner,
Jenny decided not to kick up any
fuss.
At that moment, Mila entered Macy’s dressing room, where she had a sort of feeling that something
was off.
Then Mila saw Macy sitting in front of the makeup mirror with a sour face, which depressed Mila a bit.
Mila then asked, “What’s the matter? Shouldn’t you be excited now since you finally have the dress in
hand? What is all this?”
Hearing this, Macy glared at Jenny with dissatisfaction, thinking Mila would be a person for her to
confide in.

Macy was a big star now, which meant Jenny couldn’t dictate terms like she used to.
Sensing the tension between the two, Mila smiled slightly.
Then she said to Jenny, “Jenny, why don’t you leave it to us for a bit?”
Jenny knew well what kind of social status Mila had.
Therefore, being talked to in such a polite way, Jenny hurried to act likewise.
“Ms. Yates, it would be very nice of you if you could talk to Macy and ask her to be less angry. I mean,
now is not the time for all these trifles. It’s the Star Ceremony that matters!”
Mila nodded with a smile.
Then Jenny left. Noticing that, Macy started to confide all her anger to Mila right away, as if it was long
overdue.
“I think I should ask for a replacement for her now, who keeps tiptoeing around problems of all kinds
and takes me as a person to be
trifled with.”
But Macy’s complaints failed to touch Mila, who looked calm all the while.
“Well, what happened exactly that made you so angry?”
Macy, even more worked up upon hearing this, then told Mila everything and embellished the story
where she saw fit.
“You see, the only thing I asked of her was for her to give my dress a touch-up. And yet, she refused
me! Who does she think she is to act all high-and-mighty? She is only where she is now because of
luck, without which she would be just nobody!”
Then Macy handed her mobile phone to Mila, which showed a list of revisions that Macy thought
should be made,

Mila thought, as a layman, I find those demands unreasonable. I wonder how Kaylah, a professional,
felt when she saw all this.
Then Mila handed the phone back to Macy and said, “Well, designers tend to see things in a unique
way. It might not be personal.
“Also, I think the dress is actually quite nice-looking if you take a closer look at it. And people will
definitely look with envy at you if
they know Leila is the designer.”
Despite those words sounding convincing, Mila was only being insincere. And she wouldn’t have said
those at all if she hadn’t wanted something from Macy.
It was true that Macy was a huge star now. But that didn’t make Macy any special since there were
plenty of them out there.
