Yolanda didn't want to say anything more to Winnie. Winnie treated her and Yvonne the sway. Even if

Diana's voice boomed through the phone so loudly that Winnie, who was beside Yolanda heard what Diana said.
Winnie gestured for Yolanda to pass her phone to her.
"It's Winnie, Aunt Diana."
"Winnie?" Diana's voice immediately softened.
"How did you end up with Yolanda?"
"I bumped into her. | haven't seen her in a very long time, so | was planning to treat her to a meal tonight."
"I see..." Diana's voice softened further.
"Why don't you cover for dinner too, Winnie? It's your Uncle Harold's birthday today. I'm planning to
celebrate with him over dinner tonight."
"Oh, it's not very nice ofto intrude on your family dinner." Winnie knew her place well. "Why don't | come
over another day to visit you and Uncle Harold?"
"It's fine, your Uncle Harold's brother is bringing his family over tonight as well. The more the merrier!"
Diana sounded like she was acting a little out of spite. To her, it wouldn't be fair for just the Hendersons to feast
freely tonight. She wanted someone from her maiden family to share the joy as well.
"Right, are your parents available tonight? Bring them along tonight as well."
"They already have plans for tonight. I'm afraid they won't be able to make it."
Winnie looked up at Yolanda and said to Diana, "I'll cback with Yolanda tonight, Aunt Diana."

Diana hung up the phone and said to Yolanda, "It's your father's birthday today, Yolanda. Why didn't you tell me?
If I knew, | wouldn't have suggested having dinner with you tonight."

Yolanda gave it sthought. It indeed seemed like today was Harold's birthday after all.
