Chapter 183
Yolanda wasn't joking. She was feeling a little hungry.
There was a street of shops opposite the train station with all kinds of specialty restaurants. The shop she was
facing was a quaint restaurant that specialized in stews.
There were many types of faux stew replicas displayed behind the shop's glass window that looked very
appetizing.
Sadly, before Yolanda could take a good look at how much a bow! of beef stew with dinner rolls would cost, her
view was obscured by a black Audi that had stopped right in front of her.
"Is this speed fast enough for you?" Gavin swiftly exited the car and opened the passenger seat door for Yolanda.
"It's still acceptable." Yolanda smirked.
She buckled her seatbelt immediately after getting into the car. Only heavens knew how long it had been since
Gavin last drove and if his driving skills were still up to par.
It was almost like Gavin could read minds. He quickly figured out what Yolanda was thinking and immediately put
his driving skills to the test to prove his capabilities.

He only took 30 minutes to reach the five-star hotel about ten miles away from the academy.
It was also peak hour when everyone else was getting off of work at that time. For him to achieve that, his speed
was considered pretty impressive.
Yolanda, who was seated in the passenger seat, had no change in her expression. It was like she was already
used to Gavin's driving style.
"We're here."
After passing his car keys to the valet, Gavin went around and personally opened the car door for Yolanda.
"We're just here to make an appearance. I'll greet the heads of a few families, then I'll bring you out for supper."
Most of the food served at cocktail parties like fondant cakes with pretty designs looked nice but didn't taste
good. It was so sweet that one bite of those would overload one's system with way too much sugar.
Even before both of them were reborn, they had already been very picky about the types of food served at
different cocktail parties. That was why they were now very familiar with each others' preferences.
"Let's go back for stew."
Yolanda gave it sthought. Then, she reached out and took Gavin's arm. They were actually quite an odd-
looking pair, especially because Yolanda didn't look like a plus-one in terms of the way she looked or the outfit
she wore.
However, she was still able to stand very confidently by Gavin's side. She didn't care about her appearance, and
she knew that the man beside her didn't as well.
As a pair like them entered the banquet hall, all eyes were on them, just like the last time.
Speople didn't know who Gavin and Yolanda were, so when they saw the Handsand the Beast duo,
they couldn't help but express their amusement.
Those who knew them could only hide their jealousy behind a plastered smile as they watched Gavin bring
Yolanda to cocktail parties.
"Hello, Mr. Savage."
"Mr. Savage," they greeted.
They didn't dare make fun of Yolanda because of Gavin, but it didn't mean that they would be nice to her. Most of
those who cand greeted Gavin blatantly ignored Yolanda.
Gavin was his usual cold, aloof self. He didn't even bother acknowledging these people with a nod.

"I'm going to say hi to sof the heads of families over there. Do you wanna cwith me?"
Gavin knew that Yolanda wasn't interested in social events like these, but he still had to ask.
"You can go ahead. I'll grab sfood and wait for you on the balcony." "Okay."
Gavin nodded and headed towards a group of middle-aged men with wine glasses in their hands.
Yolanda went to the food table, picked out a few tidbits, and headed to the balcony with a cup of juice. Before
she pushed the door open, she heard women's laughter coming from the inside.
"Look at your dress. Even my grandma wouldn't wear this brand anymore."
"Who else wears old-fashioned glitter eye shadow anymore in this day and age? Look in the mirror. Don't you
think you look like a puffy-eyed goldfish?"
"Your perfshould be Sugar Blossom, the one that is found absolutely everywhere, right? You're fashion sense
perfectly encapsulates your identity as an upstart's daughter."
"Ha ha ha! Queenie, you can't blher for that. For bumpkins whose family suddenly becrich overnight
just like her, it's not surprising that she wouldn't even know what boutique perfumes are!"
