Chapter 661 The divorce saga between Brad and Nadine had dragged on for far too long. Not only was Nadine growing anxious, but so were Jean and Evelyn.
It was often said that when a woman claimed she wanted to break up, she didn't truly mean it. Usually, it was a way to seek more attention from her partner and get him to pay her more attention.
Conversely, if a man was determined to end a relationship, he would find various ways to make it happen. He'd ignore his partner, give her the cold shoulder, and drive her to the point where she had no choice but to let go.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt had been six long months since Nadine had signed the divorce agreement, yet Brad still hadn't agreed to the divorce. This meant that he didn't want to end their marriage.
If he genuinely wanted out of it, he wouldn't have waited for Nadine to bring it up. He would've thrown the divorce certificate in Nadine's face the moment Jean returned to the country.
Evelyn was desperate for them to get the divorce over with, so Jean could officially join the Hamilton family. If she failed to accomplish that, the secret Evelyn had kept hidden for years would cto light.
Once that secret got out, she would lose everything-her status and reputation as the lady of the Hamilton family -and she'd fall from grace, with no chance of recovering.
After getting into the car, Evelyn didn't follow Daniel back to Clover Villa. Instead, she pulled out another phone and made a call. "Where are you? I need to see you. I'm in a tricky situation, and I need your help." She paused before continuing, "Okay. Let's talk when we meet." After circling Hamilton Estate for a bit, she took a detour and headed to a farmhouse in the suburbs. When she arrived, a man wearing sunglasses named Yves Delacroix was already sitting there by the river.
There were two chairs set up along the bank, and Yves was seated in one of them. He casually held a fishing rod and basked in the sun despite the biting cold.
As soon as she spotted him, she handed her bag to a nearby housekeeper and walked straight toward him. After taking the seat beside him, she took a deep breath and said, "Yves, I'm in big trouble this time. You have to help me!" The man turned his head slightly and glanced at her before teasing, "How big can the trouble be? Is it bigger than your boobs?" His eyes roamed over her ample bosom, and a mischievous smile danced on his lips.
"Eve, you always get flustered so easily. How are you going to accomplish anything like this? No matter how big the problem is, you've still got me, yes?" Evelyn felt her cheeks flush, turning her face away shyly, her back now facing Yves. "Watch what you're saying! There's so many eyes on us, don't you have a shred of decency?" Yves loved her coyness. He set his fishing rod down and squeezed into her chair. Despite being nearly 60 years old, Evelyn had taken excellent care of herself and looked like she was in her early 30s. Her skin was smooth and radiant, with barely any wrinkles to be seen.

In her own words, she believed that living a life of luxury wasn't the problem. The problem was not being able to maintain it. How would she be able to keep someone like Daniel by her side if she didn't make an effort to stay fit and look young and beautiful?
After all, a man of Daniel's caliber was constantly surrounded by young women vying for his attention. If she wanted to outshine those women, she had to push herself harder, particularly in keeping her body in shape.
As soon as Yves sat down, his hand found its way to her chest. Evelyn pretended to dodge his advances for almoment, but when it becclear there was no avoiding it, she gave up and leaned into his embrace. Clutching his collar, she said, "We're in big trouble this time. It's about our daughter! If you don't help me, the three of us will be ruined!"
