Chapter 120:
Stella was extremely embarrassed! If she leaned into this man’s arms like that, wouldn't it imply there was a
special relationship between them?
Silently, she tried to pull her head away from Tristan’s chest, inch by inch, as if she had never been so close to
him. But when she looked up, she saw the amused smile in Tristan’s eyes.
Now, there was no way she could justify herself.
Blushing, she pretended that nothing had happened.
Tristan had often taken care of her like this back when Stella was still studying, and at the time, she had only
seen him as a brother.
She'd always considered his attention as brotherly affection. But now, their relationship felt awkward in a way it
never had before.
When they arrived at the hospital, they went straight to the consulting room because Tristan had already called
ahead.
The female doctor checked Stella’s ankle and said she had a sprain. She could still walk, but she shouldn't wear
high heels or run for a while.
Immediately, Tristan tossed her high heels into the trash can without giving her a chance to protest.

Stella sighed, “What bad luck!”
She muttered under her breath, “I'm going to give that girl Emily a piece of my mind. Why did she have to tell
Tristan | was at Starlight Nightclub?
If she was that worried, she could have cherself or called the police, but no, she had to get him involved!”
The female doctor, slightly embarrassed, spoke up. “I need to check your back for injuries. Mr. Davis, would you
mind stepping out...?”
But Tristan cut in before she could finish, saying firmly, “Letcheck her injury.”
Stella's face flushed with frustration. His meaning was clear—he wasn’t going anywhere.

Lying on the hospital bed, Stella was fuming. She snapped at him, “Tristan! You're shameless! Get out!”
What if she had to take off her shirt for the doctor to examine her back? Was he seriously planning to stay there
and watch?
Stella glared at him, her anger practically seething. If looks could kill, Tristan would have been struck down long
ago.
To make matters worse, the female doctor smiled and said, “Miss Richard, Mr. Davis is a renowned doctor. It's
good that he’s here to help with your injury.”
Stella felt betrayed. First, the doctor wanted Tristan to leave, but now she was saying it was “good” for him to
stay! They were all in cahoots!
Frustrated, Stella turned her back to the doctor and pulled the blanket over her front, revealing only her back for
the examination.
There were bruises on her back, likely from when she had been thrown to the ground.
“I need to take an X-ray to ensure there’s no fracture,” the doctor said seriously.
Once again, Tristan took control, moving around like an attentive nurse, handling everything from arranging the
X-ray to carrying her back and forth.
After what felt like hours, the X-ray results showed no serious damage, and only then did Tristan take Stella
home.
On the drive, Tristan first dropped Cherry off at her place before taking Stella back. The exhaustion from the day
hit her hard, and Stella dozed off in the car, only waking up when Tristan carried her into her home.
“Stella, you're finally back! You don’t know how worried I've been!” Emily rushed over as soon as she saw them,
her face filled with concern.
Emily had been anxiously waiting all night, knowing that Stella had gone to meet Andrew at Starlight Nightclub.
She had feared something had happened.
When she saw Tristan carrying Stella inside, with a bag of medication from the hospital in his hand, her worry
intensified.

“What happened, Stella? Why can’t you walk? Why did Mr. Davis have to carry you home?” Emily asked, her
voice full of concern.
Stella felt a wave of awkwardness. Did Emily not know exactly what had happened? Or was she just pretending?
Trying to brush off the situation, Stella muttered, “There was... an accident at the nightclub.”
“An accident?” Emily looked between Stella and Tristan, her expression questioning. “Did | call you too late?”
Stella couldn’t believe her nerve. If Emily had just called the police instead of Tristan, she wouldn’t be in this
awkward situation!
Tristan, however, seemed completely unfazed. He acted as if it were perfectly natural for him to be carrying
Stella into the house.
Not wanting to worry Emily further, Stella quickly added, “My legs are fine!”
“Alright...” Emily dragged out the word, giving them both a knowing look. Then, she smiled and said, “Go freshen
up, Stella! I'll help you apply the medicine afterward.”
Tristan glanced at his watch and said in his usual authoritative tone, “Stella, go to bed early. It's getting late.”
His words were like those of a strict father telling his daughter to sleep on time.
But Stella was used to it by now.
Back when they lived together in the Richard family home, Tristan would always insist she go to bed early.
Sometimes, he'd even bring his work into her room and sit there, reading or working by the dim light until she
fell asleep.
Even now, years later, he hadn't changed.
