Chapter 566 The shock of the moment rippled through everyone present.
Who could have predicted such an outcome? Between the revelations about Sylvie and Elodie's true identity, it was all too much to take in. Grady's face shifted from pale to a splotchy blue, but he was left speechless.
Esmeralda had noticed Grady's actions, too; her expression was thunderous, but she no longer cared to intervene. At this point, Sylvie was about to be investigated by the authorities-far beyond Grady's reach.
Patricia's expression was inscrutable. She stared at Jarrod for a long moment before finally speaking: "Mr. Silverstein, aren't you the least bit concerned?" That question seemed to snap everyone else out of their daze.
All this time, Jarrod had barely reacted. He looked as if none of this had anything to do with him.
He glanced at Patricia, his tone calm. "It's just an investigation. Why should I be worried?" Patricia frowned, unsettled by the odd detachment in his voice.
Sylvie's situation needed to be addressed, yet the day's competition also had to be concluded properly.

Elodie was the undisputed winner.
Now that her identity was out in the open, who could possibly question it? Shock was the only reaction left.
Anyone who followed this field knew the legend of U.N2-that prodigious breakthrough everyone had always assumed was the work of an industry giant. Who would have imagined it was the creation of a young woman? Five years ago, she'd only been twenty.
It dawned on everyone, belatedly, just how extraordinary this was- What kind of rare genius was Elodie? Elodie herself hadn't expected things to unfold this way, especially not in such a public-and this time, national- setting. If things had gone as planned, her anonymity contract would have simply expired, and she would have been introduced quietly at a few industry events.
Never this kind of spectacle.
Scientists, after all, were supposed to work in the shadows.
But here she was, fand recognition coming to her all at once.
With all eyes on her, no one would dare try to sabotage her with underhanded tricks.
She was, without exaggeration, a singular figure in the field.
The atmosphere in the hall was still electric.
Charlie looked over at Elodie, offering her a rare, genuine smile. “Elodie, you deserve every bit of this." His words reignited the crowd.
Cheers and applause broke out all around them.
In this grand hall, Jarrod stood near the stage, watching Elodie-now- brilliant and unassailable in the spotlight. After a moment, a faint smile tugged at his lips.
Esmeralda, watching it all, couldn't help but wipe away a tear.
Alexander noticed her and chuckled, ruffling her hair. "Look at you-so sentimental." He felt it, too.

From now on, the nElodie would stand for honor.
Only now did Alexander glance over at Jarrod The massive sponsorship from The Silverstein Group the whole elaborate event-had ended up being just another stepping stone for Elodie. But the matter with Sylvie...
Elodie wondered how long the investigation would take.
As she stepped down from the stage, she saw Watts waiting for her. His gaze was intense, emotions warring intense, beneath the surface, but in the end, he just managed a teasing smite. "Looks like I've always had an eye for talent." Elodie knew he must be feeling conflicted.
He'd once told her outright that the creator of U.N2 was his idol.
"I'm sorry," she said sincerely. "There were restrictions-I couldn't tell you the truth."
Watts held her gaze for a moment, then shrugged, his smile easy. "It's fine get it Still this is a lot to E process." Elodie understood. Her true identity was a shock to many.
As she turned away, she caught sight of Jarrod heading toward the exit.
He paused, looking back at her.
