Chapter 252
Chapter 252
Terence wished her good luck before tuming around to leave. He walked to the elevator and pressed the button
before glancing back at the fourth floor while waiting.
His gaze met Sarah's by chance. She was standing by the railing. Their eyes locked for a few seconds before
Sarah smiled at him. Her smile carried a hint of an undeniable and enigmatic undertone. Terence nodded politely
in return before retracting his gaze and walking into the elevator.
Sarah's smile lingered in his mind as he looked at the numbers displayed from one to four on the buttons.
He pressed the butten for the fourth floor again after a moment of hesitation. He stepped out and headed
directly in one direction when the elevator doors opened.
Everyone's meals were taken care of during the competition. They didn't even need to leave for food.
Each room's computers had a food-ordering system where they could select what they wanted to eat and specify

Lily had a roasted sweet potato for lunch and ordered a calzone for dinner. The competition required contestants
to create designs in six different styles this time.
Lily had drawn the minimalist style. Lupier's store had recently received a batch of minimalist-style materials.
Hermind was brimming with ideas after reviewing countless minimalist design cases. She had roughly selected
her color palette and had a clear blueprint in her head for her design by the afternoon.
She went to bed early that night. The next morning, she took a stroll through the hotel's garden to clear her
mind before diving into work with renewed energy.
She cast aside all distractions and focused entirely on the competition.
She had completed the initial draft of her design by the end of the day. The sky outside had darkened. It was
only then that she realized she hadn't eaten lunch.
She had ordered pasta which would take about half an hour to arrive. She got up and walked out of the coom as
she decided to stretch her legs in the corridor while waiting.
She saw Xavier standing by the railing on the opposite side of the fourth floor as soon as she stepped out of the
room.
He was bathed in the golden light of the setting sun. He leaned his elbow on the railing, exuding a relaxed
demeanor.
The entire hotel held a tense atmosphere due to the competition.
Although Lily was fully immersed in her work, she couldn't help but lose focus whenever she saw him.
Seeing him there in such a relaxed state and effortlessly drawing the crowd's attention, she gritted her teeth and
cursed under her breath, "Bad luck!
She turned around and returned to her room before slamming her door shut with a loud bang. Her logic was
simple. The bad energy Xavier brought wouldn't catch up to her if she moved fast enough. She slammed the
door in her haste with such force that the sound echoed throughout the circular hotel.
Xavier narrowed his eyes and stared at the tightly closed door as his expression darkened.
"Mr. Fulton, this meeting requires your attendance." Timothy's distressing voice cover the phone. He was

"Why can't it be delayed?" Xavier sounded displeased. His tone was icy.
"It can't be delayed!"
Timothy initially thought he could bring the documents to Xavier, but the competition rules were unbelievably
strict. They were prohibited from delivering any kind of things.
I wasn't allowed even if the items weren't for a contestant but Xavier!
"Mr. Fulton, Mrs. Fulton is busy preparing for the competition. There's nothing you can do to interfere no matter
what. You can only catch a glimpse of her. Why don't we head back?" Timothy pleaded.
Xavier's irritation flared within his heart. He felt inexplicably frustrated when he thought of Lily's fleeting
appearance betere she slammed the door earlier. What was she hiding from? Did she think he cjust to see
her? He wasn't here to check on her. He was here to keep an eye on her.
He wanted to catch her if she made any mistakes of broke the rules before the organizers did. He didn't believe
she would still act tough in front of him when the tcame. She was bound to beg for his help!
