Chapter 254 He Falls for Samara
The middle-aged man whose wrist was clutched cried out in pain. He wailed exasperatedly for
someone to settle accounts with
Chaim. Then Chaim exerted more force in his hand, making the man suffer. The man sobered up
instantly, chickened out, and
apologized.
Chaim let go of his hand, and the man immediately fled while holding his wrist.
The man soon was nowhere to be seen, leaving only Samara and Chaim in the long corridor.
Chaim read the two hundred messages one by one, which recorded every bit of Samara’s love and
affection for him for the past twelve years.
Seeing Samara now, Chaim could not describe how he was feeling right now.
Chaim looked at Samara with a complicated expression. He wanted to tell her about the phone, yet he
didn’t in the end. Chaim blinked and, for once in a lifetime, he expressed his concern about her. He
said, “Were you scared?”

Samara looked at him. Although there was a smile on her face, the alienation in her eyes was more
than obvious.
“I’m sorry.” Chaim slightly pursed his lips.
Chaim apologized again.
Samara raised her eyebrows. “It’s nothing. My secretary is waiting for me at the door. I’ll get going.”
As Samara spoke, she smiled and turned to leave,
Chaim stood in situ and looked at Samara’s back. The gloominess that had been haunting him these
days disappeared in an
instant.
Chaim had to admit that he fell for Samara.
His feelings for her came out of the blue, yet he couldn’t help it.
Chaim thought, damn it. Victor is right.
Samara arrived at the entrance of the hotel, while Jimena was already waiting for her next to the car.
Seeing her come out, Jimena let out a sigh of relief. She walked to the car and opened the door. “Ms.
Novak ”
Samara nodded and got into the car.
Soon, the car started and was driven slowly on the road.
Samara tilted her head to look at the traffic outside the window. follow Alaniniz(dot)com For Latest
Update Thinking about what had happened just now, she couldn’t help but curl up her lips.
She thought, it’s probably the first time we’ve seen each other so peacefully since we divorced.
How unbelievable. She smacked her lips.
Twenty minutes later, the car came to a slow stop.
Jimena, who was at the side, called Samara softly, “Ms. Novak?”
Hearing Jimena’s voice, Samara slowly opened her eyes.
The wine she had an hour ago started to kick in, making Samara even drunker.
But she was not completely drunk. Looking out the window at the familiar scene, Samara nodded.
“Good night, Jimena.”
She was glad that she closed a big deal.
Samara got out of the car, and just as she reached the apartment building, she saw Roland.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmShe had not seen Roland for about five days since last week morning when he had “sensibly” left her
apartment in advance.
“Have you been drinking?”
Roland smelled alcohol from her, and his eyes flickered.
Samara nodded and raised her eyebrows. “Mr. Garza, what’s the matter?”
Upon hearing her words, Roland immediately smiled, “Why? Do I need a reason to see you?”
Samara was drunk, and she wanted to go home. “You see me now.”
“Indeed.”
Roland looked at her, his eyes full of tenderness.
Samara found a bit uneasy under his gaze and looked away. “Alright then. I’m going up. Good night.”
“Good night.”
He stood in situ and waved at her.
Samara took the card and swiped open the door. When she reached the elevator, for some reason, she
looked back and found that Roland was still standing outside the glass door and looking at her.
They were at a distance that was neither too far nor too close, and the light from the room was less
harsh when it shone on his face. He stood at the door that was neither dark nor bright. The bruise on
the corner of his mouth had already gone, and his
slightly curved eyes seemed to be flickering.
She thought, heck, why do I feel like my heart is beating faster for no reason?
