Chapter 80 Test if She Loves You.

The LA hospital was exceptionally lively to. The dean arranged for Fiona to stay in the hospital room and went to find connections to create a fake pregnancy test report.

Meanwhile, Monica sneaked into the hospital's identification department. Taking advantage of the shift change, Monica stealthily searched through the test tubes until she found the one labeled with Penelope's name. She quickly pocketed it and replaced it with a new test tube.

"Mission accomplished. It was too easy. Penelope worried for nothing," Monica muttered under her breath, "She's just too upright. To deal with these bad people. You get what you give." She walked out, checked that no one was outside, and swiftly made her way down the hallway.

"How did it go? Did you get it?" Penelope eagerly asked from inside the car on the roadside.

Monica took out the test tube and shook it, saying, "Of course. Everything went smoothly beyond imagination." "You're amazing!" "It's not a big deal. Without this, let's see what Lily will use." Monica effortlessly snapped the test tube in half and confidently threw it into the trash bin. "Let's go. We should grab ssupper. Don't let my godson go hungry." Penelope happily embraced her and they drove away. Behind the streetlight, Lily, who had been hiding all along, finally emerged.

"I knew you'd resort to this trick," she smugly said, "Too bad, Penelope, I've been onto you since early on. If you're so afraid, it only proves that the child is not a Davis. It's not Kelvin's at all." Lily opened her palm, holding the real test tube. "Hmph, I've been eager for the results. It'll definitely be a good show." At the King Manor on the open balcony, the lights were bright, indicating that Kelvin and Timothy were still discussing swork. Meanwhile, Timothy had lost count of how many yawns he had stifled, but as brothers for many years, Timothy knew Kelvin's temperament all too well.

There's no such thing as a workaholic who doesn't want to rest; there's only a husband yearning for his wife, being stubborn and unwilling to take initiative like a typical stratyrhtmare: Timothy didn't dare provoke him at that moment. He was just a discontented man in need of affection and he could be terrifying when he got angry.

"Okay, okay, I got it," Timothy repeatedly nodded in agreement, "Um, I'll do everything according to your instructions. It's settled." Kelvin furrowed his eyebrows, "You don't have any objections?" "No, none at all Mr. Davis, you are wise, mighty, intelligent and resourceful." With a "snap," Kelvin slammed the file onto the desk.

"What tis it?" he asked.

"It's after ten," cthe reply.

Kelvin glanced at the front door, his eyes meeting with total darkness. "If you miss your wife, just call her. You have the right to. You're legally married," Timothy joked, "No need to hide it." Kelvin didn't argue, instead he pressed his temples in silence. After a moment, he spoke in a low voice, "Why do you think Penelope?" "Because she's your Mrs. Davis," Timothy replied.

Kelvin's eyes turned cold.

"You married her yourself," Timothy shrugged, "I warned you before not to play with emotions, they can get out of control, and are very unpredictable; But you refused to believe me. Now you realize you're in love with her?" This wasn't the first tTimothy had said such things. But Kelvin still stubbornly denied it.

"It's impossible," he tightly pursed his lips, "If I have to say "love," then it's only her who loves me." "From what I can see, she doesn't seem to love you either." Timothy said, "Penelope hasn't gotten drunk in the middle of the night for you a few times." Having hit a nerve, Kelvin angrily wanted to flip the table.

Timothy, enjoying the spectacle, took out his phone directly, "Do you want to test it, whether she loves you or not?" Kelvin remained silent.

"Alright," Timothy deliberately put his phone back in his pocket, "Forget I said anything." Under the table, Kelvin kicked him, "How do we test it?" Planning your weekend reading? "Just call her, then you'll know," Timothy raised an eyebrow, "Shh, listen." Timothy quickly dialed Penelope's number. Soon, Penelope answered, her voice soft and gentle, "Hello, Mr. Foster." Kelvin's complexion immediately turned ugly. Does she always speak so softly to others? "Yes, it's me. Where are you right now?" "I'm having supper with Minnie, and I'll be heading hshortly." Timothy suppressed his laughter and said seriously, "Well, the thing is, your husband got drunk at my place. Are you able to cpick him up?" "He's drunk again?" Penelope thought for a moment, "Mr. Foster, actually you can let him sleep at your place." What's been going on with Kelvin lately that he keeps getting drunk? Is he feeling that miserable? It's always been him making others miserable.

Timothy almost choked, "Uh, two grown men sleeping in the sroom; isn't that inappropriate?" "You have more than one bedroom in your house." Timothy cleared his throat, "Um, well, Kelvin had a fall while drunk and needs to go to the hospital. It's quite serious. He might be disfigured." "From your tone, it doesn't sound urgent. If it's not serious enough to call an ambulance and he can still make a phone call here, it seems it's not that severe." Penelope remarked.

"Uh..." "And he has Ryan, bodyguards, and a butler. Ready to serve him 24 hours a day." Before Timothy could say anything, Kelvin snatched the phone away and hung up.

"When a woman gets tough, us men have nothing to do." Timothy patted his shoulder. "Stay calm. Besides, you don't love her anyway." "Who says I..." "Hmm? What about you?" Kelvin suddenly snapped back to reality. What was the second half of the sentence he didn't say earlier? Was, he in love with her? "Impossible!" "You should go," Kelvin stood up. "It's getting late." Timothy let out a long sigh. "Just useand throw awayout, such a jerk."

Before Kelvin's files could hit him, Timothy quickly ran out. After hanging up, Penelope ondered Should she ask about Kelvin's injuries? But she was afraid of interfering unnecessarily. He didn't need her by his side.

By the tPenelope returned home, it was past midnight. She cautiously pushed open the bedroom door and walked in quietly, fearing to wake is Kelvin. She didn't even dare to turn on the lights, feeling her way inside in the dark. She had only taken a few steps when she bumped into a chest, causing her to scream, "Ah!" "You finally decided to cback?" Kelvin's voice sounded low.

"I... I didn't want to cback either. Can you letgo? I promise I'll never appear in front of you again in my lifetime." Just as Penelope finished speaking, with a "pop," Kelvin turned on the lights. The sudden brightness made Penelope cover her eyes with her hand.

She had just finished eating hot pot with Monica, so she smelled of it. Kelvin sneered, "Having fun?" "I just had dinner with Minnie, that's all." "Don't go out with her anymore." Penelope pouted, "She is my friend. What do you mean."
