Estelle savored her chocolate cake, “Have you asked about it? When is Raiden coming back?”
Lambert eyed her, a hint of amusement in his voice. “Fond of chocolate, are you?”
Estelle raised an eyebrow nonchalantly. “All girls love chocolate.”
A charming smile spread across Lambert’s face. “I thought you were different!”

Leaning in closer, Lambert’s gaze locked onto Estelle’s, his voice a hushed whisper. “I have a hunch Raiden’s
been hiding out in Zion.”
“Hmm?” Estelle looked up, surprised.
Their eyes met, and Lambert’s had a mischievous sparkle. “Winston’s been speaking for him, but for a deal this
big, he can’t call the shots alone. I suspect Raiden never left Zion; he just doesn’t want to show his face.”
It was a move typical of the enigmatic Raiden.
“So, what’s your plan?” Estelle inquired. “To flush him out,” Lambert said with a cold laugh. “We won’t agree to a
deal without some real skin in the game.” Estelle nodded in approval. “Good luck with that!” Lifting his coffee mug,
Lambert toasted her. “Cheers!” That night, in the wee hours, Estelle retraced her steps from the previous day,
repeating her actions. As she put on her maid outfit and pushed the cart to the seventh floor, Lambert suddenly
called. “Where have you run off to? You’re not in the bar, not at the villa!”

She pushed the cart inside and knocked on room 702.
The door swung open to reveal a portly man with piercing eyes. “Come in.”
The man followed, eyeing Estelle. “Why the mask? Take it off, let me see your face.”
Estelle met his gaze, her voice apologetic. “I’m sorry, I have a cold. I wouldn’t want to infect you.”
Reaching for Estelle’s mask, he felt a prick as his fingers touched her hair. He frowned. “What’s this?”
Calmly, Estelle replied, “A hairpin.”
