Chapter 0670

What worried Suzy even more was that if she continued to stay connected to Dylan, it might cost him his life.

She had to extinguish any lingering hope he had for them.

Lost in her thoughts, Suzy walked toward the exit of Bayview Heights.

As she reached the front door, she paused and turned back to look at the place where she had once lived for

three

years.

She had dreamed of growing old with Dylan here, building a life together. But

now...

Maybe they were destined to cross paths but not to stay together.

After everything they had been through, they still ended up like this.

"Maybe | really am a curse," she murmured bitterly. "Anyone who gets close toseems to meet a bad end."

Family, friends, lovers... everyone who had ever been close to her had suffered in sway.

With a self-deprecating smile, she whispered, "Maybe | should just find a remote mountain and live out the rest

of my life in solitude."

After one last glance back, Suzy turned and walked away.

What she didn't know was that Dylan had been watching her every move from the window.

darkened as he asked Desmond, who stood behind him, "Have you found that girl from that night yet?"

"Not yet,” Desmond replied, shaking his head. "We've searched almost everywhere, but we still haven't found

the girl Mrs. Wright mentioned.

"I've even reached out to people on the platform, but no one's willing to reveal her whereabouts. Is it possible

that Mrs. Wright hid her, worried you might harm her?"

Dylan narrowed his eyes. "Is that what you think?"

"Should we keep looking?" Desmond asked cautiously.

"Keep looking."

After leaving Bayview Heights, Suzy immediately headed out to continue the search for Elliot.

She still had no idea who they were dealing with, but she couldn't waste any time. Every passing second could

mean the difference between life and death for Elliot.

Suzy first went to the hospital where Elliot had been staying.

Allen had already reviewed all the surveillance footage from the tof Elliot's disappearance and found nothing

suspicious.

Strangely, there was no record of Elliot leaving his room on the footage.

A living, breathing person couldn't simply vanish into thin air, so it was clear that the surveillance had been

tampered with.

Whoever had done it had exceptional skills, far beyond what Allen could detect.

Though Allen's hacking skills weren't on Suzy's level, they were still impressive. Yet he had found nothing. When

Suzy arrived, Allen immediately handed her the hard drive containing the surveillance records.

"These are all the recordings from the tElliot disappeared-his room and the hallway outside.

"I've reviewed them multiple times and couldn't find anything suspicious. Whoever tampered with this is way

more advanced than me.

"Boss, you should take a look yourself."

Suzy didn't take the hard drive. "If it's already been tampered with, there won't be anything useful left on it.

Instead of wasting time, we're better off taking Elliot's photo and asking around.

"Elliot might not have fully recovered, but with his skills, he wouldn't be easy for just anyone to take. And you

said you were only gone for five minutes.

"Five minutes isn't nearly enough for someone unfamiliar with him to enter, subdue him, and take him away."

"You think it might have been someone he knows?" Allen frowned. "Could it be someone from his gang?" Suzy

considered the possibility. "I wouldn't rule it out. Most of those people aren't exactly sharp. It's possible sof

them got manipulated or coerced without realizing it."

"So, what's the plan now?"

Suzy's expression hardened.

"Even though Elliot's gang members report to him, very few of them have direct access to him. Those are the

ones we need to focus on."

Allen nodded in understanding. "Got it. I'll start vetting every single one of them right away!"
