Suzy thought back to the person who had previously used venomous magic against Elliot. If her guess was right,

Dylan's eyes turned sharp and determined. "Whoever it is, I'll help you find them. Anyone who dares to use you
won't get away with it."

"And so what if it did? Look at you now-stuck in a wheelchair, unable to even protect yourself. What else can you
do besides cause trouble?"
"Suzy, stop saying things you don't mean," Dylan said firmly.

Suzy sighed, her gaze serious. "Dylan, I've said it many times-whether or not I'm in your life, you still have
Grandma and Diana. Whatever you do, you need to think of them first."
Her expression softened as she added, "You ended up in this condition because of me. | don't want to owe you
anything more. And you shouldn't keep clinging to
me.
"Instead, you should focus on the girl who helped detoxify you that night."
Pausing to gather her resolve, Suzy continued, "I looked into it. She's a pitiful girl who only sold herself that night
because she desperately needed money for her critically ill grandmother's treatment."
Clenching her fists, she added, "It was her first time. Even though | paid her well, I still think you should take
responsibility. Good, honest girls like her are rare these days."
"You wantto take responsibility for another woman?" Dylan's voice was strained.
Even though he had cto accept the fact that Suzy no longer had feelings for him, hearing her say this still
hurt in a way he couldn't ignore.
"It's not about what | want," Suzy replied, meeting his sorrowful g
"As a man, you should take responsibility. Since you were with her, it's your duty
to do the right thing." She spoke slowly, emphasizing each word.
