Chapter 724
Jocelyn was over the moon and hurried to support Hackett.
"Con, Cole, snap out of it. You're not hallucinating. Penelope's back! She's been incredibly lucky; someone
must have saved her!"
Hackett shakily made his way to Penelope, longing for a heartfelt embrace. But Penelope didn't even glance his
way, sidestepping Hackett's attempt to hug her and walked straight to Marguerite.
"Marguerite, you've been through so much. Yesterday, | went to the police station to file a report, and if it weren't
for Ms. Abbey, | wouldn't have known all you've done for me. Now, it's my turn to protect you!"
Marguerite was still in shock, letting tears roll down her cheeks.
"Penelope, is it really you? Am | dreaming? Can you pinchto make sure?"

Penelope couldn't help but laugh at Marguerite's words, "How could | ever do that to you? Silly."
"What in the world happened? We've been searching the cliffs, but couldn't find you anywhere!"
"If
f you had found me, would | be standing here all in one piece today?"
Penelope then turned to Yuna.
"It was Yuna who pushedoff the cliff. | was unconscious, but not out of my senses. After falling, Violet, who
was passing by, rescued me. Otherwise, | wouldn't have recovered in just a couple of weeks."
Violet stepped forward to explain.
"Marguerite, I'm sorry, | lied to you. My major was actually psychology, and | had to deceive you to help
President Penelope. But Marguerite, everything else | told you was the truth. My parents do supply silk fabrics;
they just never went bankrupt. The silk scarf that President Penelope was wearing before, that was from our
family's production."
Slowly, all the unusual occurrences around Marguerite these past few days seemed to have a reasonable
explanation.
No wonder Violet wore a silk scarf to the job interview. No wonder Miley showed a mix of heartache and
admiration when talking about Penelope. No wonder Yuna went crazy at the sight of Violet! Since she studied
psychology, she might have hypnotized Yuna without anyone noticing, making Yuna's actions uncontrollable. So,
all this was a trap set by Penelope and Violet for Yuna! Brilliant! Marguerite was ecstatic! Gratefully, she looked
at Violet.
"How could | be mad? You've helpedso much."
But this tender moment was abruptly interrupted by Yuna's roar.
"Ah-I knew it! How could | have seen all those bizarre things for no reason! Penelope! It was you all along! You
were the one harming me!"
Abbey, thinking Yuna might attempt something dangerous against Penelope, raised her gun and commanded-
several officers quickly subdued Yuna. One officer pressed Yuna's head firmly to the ground, while another cuffed
her hands behind her back, immobilizing her completely.
Penelope, too, seemed struck by Yuna's accusation and approached her with a raised voice.
"Me, harm you? Yuna, who harmed whom? You deceived Marguerite, deceived me, deceived us all! It's tfor
your comeuppance!"
Robert frowned.
"Mom, what do you mean by that?"
Penelope glanced at Robert, then her gaze settled on Marguerite.
"Sweetheart, you've done nothing wrong. Marguerite is your sister by blood, and my one true love."
