Chapter 80
Half an hour later, the bodyguard sent a message to Kelvin, informing him that the road had been cleared.
When Yvonne was carried outside, she saw many people standing around.
Hearing a buzzing sound above her head, she looked up curiously. Many small plane-like things were flying
above her hear They were black and had little red dots on their bodies.
She watched as they descended lower and lower, eventually landing on the ground, where the men in black
outside the church folded them up and put them away.
It was like trained eagles returning to their handlers after a successful hunt.
Yvonne watched in awe as they collected the drones, unable to look away.
It was so cool.
On the mountainside, there were three large planes. Just like how the gardener at hused a spray bottle to
water the flowers, these planes released a fine mist of spray underneath them, covering a large area.
She wrinkled her little nose, turned her head, and hugged Kelvin’s neck tightly, burying her little face in his
shoulder.. “Dad, it smells so bad... Her voice was muffled.
Kelvin got into the car and shut the door, blocking out the smell from outside.
As the car started, Yvonne lifted her little head and began to curiously look outside again.
She leaned against the car window, just like when they were heading up the mountain.
The colors of the road were a bit heavy, as if it had rained.
She watched for a while, but didn’t see a single insect carcass. The road was clean and smooth, as though the
chaotic scene of flying bugs and animals from an hour ago had been just a dream.
Yvonne retracted her gaze and stopped looking.
At 1:30 in the morning, they returned to the city.
Kelvin asked the driver to take the car to the hospital. He was worried and planned to have Enzo check Yvonne's
pulse tomorrow to make sure everything was fine before heading home.
Yvonne was truly exhausted and fell asleep as soon as she touched the bed.
As Kelvin turned to grab a blanket, he looked back and found her already fast asleep, even though she had been
mumbling something to him just a moment ago.
He knew children fell asleep quickly, but he was still surprised by how fast it happened.
Kelvin walked over and covered her with the blanket. Looking at the little girl’s pink and chubby face, his eyes
were filled with gentleness”
He turned to give the caretaker a few instructions, then quietly closed the door behind him as he left.
In the middle of the night, he returned home,

The two children were already asleep, and the living room had been tidied up, looking clean.
In a dim light, Kelvin walked back to his room.
He turned on the light, searched for a set of clothes in the wardrobe, and after grabbing them, he walked into the
bathroom
About ten minutes later, the bathroom door opened. He casually wiped his hair and looked around the room
before stopping his gaze somewhere.
It was a very small safe, placed at the bottom of the bookcase.
Kelvin put down the towel in his hand and walked over.
Water droplets dripped down his black hair and wet his eyes.
He entered the safe’s code twice before he could open the safe. As it had been too long, he could not even
remember what was inside.
After opening it, there were only two small boxes inside.
One box contained a pair of wedding rings, and the other was a pink diamond ring.
He remembered.
More than 20 years ago, when he got married, his mother gave this pink diamond to Melissa.
Later, when they divorced, he used a property at Cloudscape Estate to exchange it back.
After taking it back, he didn’t care anymore and placed it in the safe along with the wedding ring.
If not for the sudden discovery tonight, it might have been forgotten for a long time.
-Kelvin closed the box, picked out a coat from the closet, and put the small box in his pocket.
When he rushed back to the hospital, Yvonne was still sleeping soundly on the bed. The caretaker said that she
did not move
at all.
He closed the door and instructed the bodyguard at the entrance to have the pink diamond ring cleaned at the
jewelry store below the Adler family’s residence.
If a good design was found, he planned to turn it into a necklace,
When Yvonne grew up and met someone she liked, he would give it to her as a wedding gift.
It didn’t matter what the form was. He hoped that the good wishes his mother had given him at the wedding
twenty years ago would be passed to Yvonne.
It was fine even if she didn’t get married. He would just keep it for himself.
At 8:30 in the n
morning.
Yvonne felt her hand grow cold. She drowsily tried to pull it back, but in the next second, an old, weathered hand
grabbed it.
“Hey, hold still, little girl, I'm checking your pulse.
An elderly voice cfrom beside her. Yvonne blinked her eyes open and saw several people standing by the
bed.

Enzo pulled his hand back and turned to nod at Kelvin.
“You're recovering well. You can leave now. However, you still have to continue drinking the medicine |
prescribed. You can go back and drink it for three days.”
“Alright, thank you, doctor.”
Enzo smiled warmly and waved it off. As he left the room, he couldn't help but marvel at Taylor's plant and
amazed by it. If he could get his hands on a few and place them in his office, he couldn't even imagine how
much smoother his life would be.
In the ward, after Yvonne finished washing up and cout, the table was already set with a full breakfast.
After finishing her breakfast, Yvonne walked to the bedside.
There was a large box on the floor, and two bodyguards were carefully placing the plant from the table into it.
Yvonne walked to Kelvin’s side and looked up at him curiously. “Dad, where are they taking the flowers?”
“Returning them to Professor Johnson,” Kelvin replied.
She thought for a moment, then asked with a hint of anticipation in her voice, “Can | give him a gift?”
Kelvin understood what she meant.
After sthought, he nodded. “Sure.”
Everyone left the hospital room, and Yvonne crouched in front of the box, mumbling to herself as she fiddled
with it for a while. Then, she withdrew her hand and closed the box’s lid.
As the bodyguards took the box away, Kelvin spoke up, “Make sure to make a big show of it when returning it.”
“Got it, boss!”
His bodyguards, ever obedient, turned around and ordered a banner to be made, nearly bringing in drums and
gongs. In the research institute's yard, as soon as the banner was unfurled, it attracted the attention of everyone
passing by, When Taylor heard the commotion ahead, his eyes darkened, and he nearly stumbled from the
shock.
The colleagues around him helped him up, and as they reached the front yard, they heard the bodyguard in the
center of the crowd loudly proclaiming. Thank you Professor Taylor Johnson for lending the divine flower that
saved Miss Adler. Because of the flower’s effects, she was safely discharged this morning.
After speaking, he opened the box and carefully took out the flowerpot.
With trained eyes, he accurately spotted Taylor among the onlookers and walked over, carrying the flower.
As he walked, the fragrance of the flower spread all around.
When the bodyguard reached Taylor, the people around them were equally astonished.

“This scent... Taylor, have you reached this level of research already?”
“We're all from the sresearch institute. How dare you hide it from us!”
“By the way, my nephew in Blorence City mentioned that a scammer had been selling a kind of rare flower
powder to wealthy bird and fish enthusiasts, and they were fighting to buy it. Could it be the one you're working
on?”
The crowd was chattering away, but Taylor couldn't make sense of it all because he was also taken aback by the

front of him.
When he cback to his senses, he remembered what the bodyguard had just said and frowned. “That child
was discharged today?”
“Yes. Dr. Peterson took a look, and he said she could be discharged.
Upon hearing this, Taylor did not ask further.
One of his younger students took the flowerpot from him, and as they were about to leave, Taylor handed a note
to the bodyguard.
His usually stern face showed a hint of pride.
“It’s an apprenticeship banquet. It's just a small restaurant. The venue and tare all on it. Take it back to your
boss.”
The bodyguard took the note and left. On his way back to report, he opened it to take a look and was stunned by
the name
of the restaurant
The three characters were written in a lively, flowing style: Collin Pasta House
He was stunned for a moment.
He quickly checked and realized that there was indeed a place called Collin Pasta House nearby.
The restaurant was only a little bigger than a typical KFC.
His expression changed. When he imagined his boss, a multi-billionaire CEO, hosting an apprenticeship banquet
for his precious daughter at a place like that, his mind went a little blank.
Most importantly. Kelvin was planning to find the media and publicize it.
When the media came, he didn’t know where they would sit.
He didn’t even dare to imagine that scene.
This was too fantastical,
