Chapter 265 Living Together As Jopened her mouth to protest again, Edward firmly cut her off.
"Enough. The decision is final. If you have tto argue, put it to good use by preparing for the wedding. The sooner it happens, the better." Seeing Jstill on the edge of disagreement, he added sharply, "If we wait until her belly starts showing before the wedding, it will be obvious it's a shotgun marriage. That would be even more humiliating." Janet, who cared deeply about appearances, clenched her fists in frustration. Her gaze hardened with malice as she stared at Sophie's stomach.
Meanwhile, Sierra stood off to the side, observing the scene unfold with quiet relief.
Thank goodness she had married Theo instead. Had she ended up with Benson, she would have spent the rest of her life suffocated by Janet's control.
For a woman capable of so easily discarding her own grandchild, how could she ever show any kindness to a daughter-in-law? Theo sat quietly beside her, his expression stoic and unreadable.

Standing up, he instinctively reached for Sierra's hand, a gesture that caught Sophie off guard.
Her eyes flickered from Theo to Benson, the realization dawning on her.
No wonder Sierra had so easily let go of Benson.
Still, Sophie quickly dismissed any thoughts of Theo. She knew a man like him was far beyond her reach. She was lucky enough to have Benson.
"Cee..." Benson murmured, but his words fell on deaf ears.
As he watched Theo and Sierra walk away, a flash of regret crossed his face. He squeezed his eyes shut, fighting to suppress the emotions crashing over him.
If only he had never met Sophie. He and Sierra could have followed the path they had once dreamed of— marrying, having children, and growing old together, just as Edward had hoped.
But now, they had moved on, each with someone else. There was no going back.
Sophie exhaled softly, her hand instinctively resting on her stomach. As she lowered her gaze, a triumphant smile ghosted across her lips.
Seeing that she couldn't drive Sophie away, Jlet out a scoff before turning on her heel and storming out. The moment she stepped into the house, she headed straight for the study, her fury barely contained. Without hesitation, she snatched the pen from Liam's hand.
"How can you sit here so calmly while your son is being forced to marry Sophie?" she demanded.

When he learned that Sierra and Theo had already registered their marriage, a shadow passed over his eyes. "You need to do something!" Jdemanded, her patience wearing thin. "We must get rid of that woman and the illegitimate child she's carrying. I refuse to acknowledge her as my daughter-in-law! She's nothing more than a worthless, pretty-faced nobody-completely undeserving of Benson!" Liam's expression darkened as he met her gaze. "My father has already made his decision. If you act recklessly, I won't be able to protect you." Jstiffened, biting back her words as resentment simmered beneath the surface.
"Calm down," he suggested casually, resuming his writing, "So what if they get married? Divorce is more common than ever these days."
Janet's expression shifted instantly, her fury replaced by a cynning glint. A satisfied smile crept across her lips En. as a new plan took root in her mind.
"Edward adores Benson, doesn't he? Fine-let Sophie have the child. But, once she gives birth, well make sure birthXwell- sur they get divorced. After that, we'll find him a wife truly worthy of the Gray family." Meanwhile, Sierra remained oblivious to Janet's scheming-not that she would have cared. Benson was a chapter of her life long closed.
She sat in the car, one foot on the ground and the other still inside, her mind spinning as she gazed at Theo in disbelief.
"What did you just say?" Theo reached out, offering a hand as he helped her step out of the car.
"We're married now," he said evenly. "Naturally, we should live together.
"I'll go up with you to pack your things and help you move in." Sierra stood frozen, unable to form a response.
On paper, they were husband and wife, but sharing a home? That was a whole different reality.
