Chapter 257 Begging for a Favor "How about we go to the courthouse next time?" Sierra said. She might've agreed to marry Theo, but this was all too sudden. She still wasn't prepared for it.
Theo remained calm and casually put her birth certificate on his thigh. "I arranged for my men to make an appointment beforehand. Someone's waiting for us there. We can get our marriage certificate as soon as we're there." Sierra had run out of excuses now. She was so nervous that her palms got sweaty, and she bit her lips as she stared off into space.
What would her future entail if she spent the rest of her life with Theo? Theo noticed signs of unease and squeezed her hand. Then, he said softly, "You'll still be free after you marry me, Sierra." That was why he didn't want her to feel reluctant to do it, nor did he want her to reject him.
Sierra looked into Theo's eyes and found that he was genuine about it. Her panicked emotions also gradually calmed down. She thought back to the tshe spent with him and found that there wasn't anything uncomfortable about it.

At the thought of it, Sierra was completely okay with getting married to him.
Back in the courthouse, the chief administrative officer, George Witt, and his staff checked their watches from tto time, looking anxious.
"Mr. Witt. Why isn't Mr. Gray here yet? Is it because his bride rejected him?" George rolled his eyes at her and said calmly, "Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? We wouldn't have to worry about the declining marriage rate if every man had Mr. Gray's stunning looks and impressive family background." How could any lady turn someone like Mr. Gray down? The lady staff, Lydia Welch, pondered on it and nodded in agreement.
Two minutes later, they watched as Theo got out of the car first before he reached into the car and held a delicate, fair arm.
"Watch out." Theo's tone was so soft and gentle that it was drastically different from what they remembered about him. Sierra's feet were a little wobbly when she looked at the entrance of the courthouse. When she got out of the car, she moved down slowly.
Theo waited patiently. When he realized how stiff she was, he straightaway held her by the shoulder.
"I appreciate your help today, Mr. Witt." George grinned and shook Theo's hand. He chatted with Theo as he led them into the building. "It's no trouble at all." Sierra was gently dragged into an office. Then, Adrian swiftly pulled out two birth certificates and sof the documents he prepared beforehand. They still needed a picture for the procedure. So, Lydia took them away for a photo shooting session.
Theo took off his suit before straightening his shirt's collar and sleeves. Then, he turned around and tidied up Sierra's collar. She was still in a daze while he did it.
"As fate would have it, we both wore white outfits. It seems like we're connected telepathically." Sierra felt helpless when she saw how unusually excited Theo was today. "It's not a connection. It's a meticulously thought-out plan." A hint of amusement flashed in Theo's eyes when he heard her murmurs.

"You two are a match made in heaven. What a wonderful sight," Lydia said after she pressed the shutter. She couldn't help but marvel at Sierra and Theo's stunning appearances as she checked the pictures in the camera.
Sierra's face was completely reddened as she nervously gripped the hem of her dress.
Now, everything was finally in place. Lydia made quick work and printed their marriage certificates. Then, she stamped the papers and made them official.
Back in Gray Manor, Benson made a beeline to the study as soon as he walked through the main door. He spoke as he opened the door to the study, "You have to helpout, Grandpa."
Edward was in the middle of his art. He was so startled by Benson's m unannounced entrance that his hand trembled wildly, ruining the entire piece. The veins on his forehead popped, and he tossed his pen aside. Then, he snarled, "Be quiet. It's very unbecoming of you to shout here. Get out." Benson didn't mind being scolded at all. He immediately walked over and massaged the latter's shoulder in a flattering manner.
Edward couldn't even stand firmly from all the massaging. He hurriedly pushed Benson away, saying, "Out with it." Benson pulled his hands away and looked at Edward eagerly. "Put in a good word forin front of Cee, Grandpa. Make her forgive me, please."
