Luther was a bit upset by Reese's repeated refusals this time. Suppressing his disappointment, he asked, "What's
going on?"
Reese furrowed her brows, her tone growing heavier. "I have plans with my boyfriend. We're having dinner
together, and | don't want to bail on him."
Luther's voice carried a mixture of emotions. "I heard you broke up with Clark?" Reese nodded. "Yeah."
Luther sounded somewhat melancholic. "It hasn't been long since you broke up. In such a short time, you've
already found a new boyfriend?"
Reese truly didn't understand what Luther was trying to achieve.
However, she still felt grateful for his care in the past few years.
After a moment's thought, she said, "Luther, when fate comes knocking, there's no stopping it. You should
understand that. If there's nothing else, | have to get back to work."
Reese finished speaking and hung up the phone directly.
She thought that this dinner would just be between her and Lukas, to discuss their divorce.

As it turned out, when Reese arrived at Stork House Building, she realized she had been mistaken.
Inside the private room were not just the two of them. There were three more individuals present: Elias, Elena,
and an unfamiliar middle-aged man who appeared to be in his forties.
Lukas took his seat and signaled for Reese to sit beside him.
Elias looked at Lukas. "Lukas, what kind of setup is this today? Why do | feel like I'm missing something?"
Lukas glanced at him and straightforwardly responded with four words, "Because you're foolish."
Reese's heart tightened. It becevident that the dinner gathering was unfolding completely differently from
what she had initially thought.
The expression on Elias's face shifted slightly, displaying a mixture of surprise and displeasure. "Lukas, it's not
polite to insult others, and you shouldn't resort to name-calling. Plus, you shouldn't hit someone in the face.
What have | done to offend you?"
Without paying much heed to Elias's question, Lukas shifted his gaze between him and the nervous-looking
Elena. She also stole a glance at the unfamiliar middle-aged man beside them, Elena's father, Johann Schmidt.
Instead of addressing Elias directly, he posed a question, "Elias, Mr. Schmidt saved your life in the past, didn't
he?"
Elias appeared somewhat puzzled by Lukas's inquiry, but he eventually responded with a somewhat perplexed
nod. "Yes, he savedwhen | was young."
Otherwise, considering Elena's peripheral status, she wouldn't be speaking next to him, appearing closer than
the others.
Lukas gazed intently at Elias. "You've been looking for two days, but you still haven't found the mole in the
company, have you?"
Hearing this, Elias's expression changed. "Lukas, what you're implying..."
Reese suddenly understood what was happening. She subconsciously looked at Miss Elena.
As expected, when Elena heard the word "mole," her face turned incredibly pale.
Lukas was straightforward. "Elias, our relationship has always been good. Since you can't find the mole, I'll help
you."
Elias wasn't a fool. With Lukas's words, his expression shifted and changed. "Are you suggesting that this matter
involves Elen..."

He didn't even finish mentioning Elena's nwhen she panicked and accidentally knocked over the teacup
beside her.
Lukas didn't even spare her a glance, keeping his focus on Elias. "Don't look atlike that. The fact that | can
bring this up on the table means the evidence is conclusive. I'm involving you and Mr. Schmidt because he saved
your life and he's Elena's father. Elias, I'm giving you face here. You understand."
Mr. Schmidt looked utterly confused. "Elias, what are you all talking about? Why can't | understand?"
Elena clenched her clothes tightly, her body trembling slightly.
Elias ignored Mr. Schmidt and looked directly at the indifferent Lukas, his expression shifting unpredictably.
Finally, he nodded. "I understand. You're givingface by not dealing with her directly. So, what do you want to
do?"
However, Lukas didn't answer his question. Instead, he turned to Reese beside him. "Reese, what do you want to
do?"
Reese pointed at herself in surprise. "Me? This matter... has nothing to do with me, right?"
She didn't recall when Miss Elena had offended her. Moreover, the issue of a mole was completely unrelated to
her!
