Kai was intrigued and moved closer to the creature. But as soon as he did, the fire unicorn opened its mouth and

this fire unicorn into submission!” Vermilion Demon Lord boasted.
“Mr. Vermilion, Celestial Devourer is indeed impressive, but all it does is eat and sleep. | can’t even wake it up
half the time,” Kai grumbled. Though powerful, Celestial Devourer wasn't exactly reliable.

Before Kai could finish, his Storage Ring quivered, and the little Celestial Devourer woke up, sensing the
presence of the fire unicorn. As soon as the fire unicorn saw Celestial Devourer, it immediately froze with fear.
Celestial Devourer strutted confidently toward the fire unicorn, and the fiery creature tucked its tail, too scared
to breathe fire anymore.
The little Celestial Devourer then batted the fire unicorn on the head with its paw, causing the latter to submit
completely.
Seeing this, Kai approached and gently stroked the fire unicorn’s head. It no longer regarded him with hostility.
“Well, this fire unicorn has certainly met its match,” Kai said, marveling at how easily the Celestial Devourer had
tamed the fire unicorn.
“Fire Spirit Lord’s mount is nothing but trash,” Vermilion Demon Lord scoffed. “It’s all bluster and bad temper. No
wonder it ended up here.”
Kai didn’t dare comment further. Whether or not the Fire Spirit Lord was impressive, he was still far beyond Kai's
reach at the moment.
Besides, it feels like all the immortals in the celestial realm have a fiery temper.
“Brat, you should seize the opportunity while the fire unicorn is still young. Quickly claim it as your mount. Once

Lord advised.
“But how do | claim it?” Kai asked. He had no idea how to ta blessed beast and have it acknowledge him as
its master.
“You just need to feed it your blood essence. Once it drinks your essence, it'll bond with you and acknowledge
you as its master,” Vermilion Demon Lord explained.
Without hesitation, Kai forced out several droplets of his blood essence from his brow. The droplets hovered in

“Go ahead, drink up,” Kai coaxed the little creature. “Once you drink my blood essence, you'll be mine.”
But the fire unicorn didn’t open its mouth. It eyed the blood warily and refused to drink it.
“W-What's going on?” Kai was puzzled by the creature’s reluctance.
“Hahaha! It probably thinks you're too weak to be its master. A mere Tribulator cultivator, trying to ta
blessed beast like a fire unicorn? You're the first to attempt such a thing!” Vermilion Demon Lord laughed
heartily.
“So, what should | do?” Kai asked, embarrassed by his failure.
Just then, Celestial Devourer raised its paw and smacked the fire unicorn on the head again. This time, the fire
unicorn obediently licked up the blood essence, submitting fully to Kai.
As soon as the creature consumed the blood essence, Kai felt a sudden connection form between them, a mental
link that confirmed the fire unicorn was now his to command.
